Season 5: Beergarden Bocce
WNB Clark Street Ale House (outdoors)
LEAGUE STARTS IN
This league begins Wednesday September 04th, 2019
The secret is out: This is the friendliest league in Chicago. Everybody hanging and making nice. It's a cozy beergarden and everybody takes the cue to get close and embrace the experience. It's truly a treat and that's why everybody seems to kick it all night long. An afterwork hang quickly becomes a weekly highlight with this crew.
The concrete we set the courts up on has character, so if a pure roll is required for your attention, then we'll direct you elsewhere (specifically Chop Shop and Chicago Distilling Co.). But everybody's playing the same game and I don't think it's a coincidence that the winner of this summer's Tournament of Champions came from this league. Time on these courts means you're ready for everything.
Goose Island is bringing the beer specials and fire prizes. Fernet Branca is a stalwart, a forever thread in our bocce story, and a great shot to start and close your night. Clark Street Ale House is dog friendly and BYOF, so bring your friends and order in. Or just eat popcorn and drink, aka the diet of champions.
League Details: Season begins Wednesday, September 4th. Playoffs are Wednesday, October 16th. First games get rolling at 6:30 and last at 10:00. If Mother Nature throws us a wet curveball, then we'll reschedule (or play through if it's reasonable). You don't lose games cuz it rains.
ABC League Standards: A team can roster 4-8 players and may use subs not on the roster. If you want to play don't have a full squad, contact firstname.lastname@example.org and he'll get ya moving in the right direction. League dues are $300/team. Your spot in the league is not guaranteed until the balance is at $0. Games are played 4v4 and your team gets two games a night for the six-week regular season. All teams play in a one-night playoff. The season schedule is made before the balls begin to roll. Game time needs and requests are accommodated to the best of our ability and in priority order of registration.
